From enquiries, the students claimed that the bank was shut down because it had allegedly facilitated the arrest of one of the students. However, as the time of compiling this report, efforts to reach the management of the bank had proven abortive.

But upon further interaction with the students, they claimed that the Postgraduate student's arrest was a breach of due protocol and threatened the safety of all students in campus.

2017 University Thanksgiving & Prayers Holds January 12

The University Annual Thanksgiving and Prayers for members of the University Community has been scheduled to hold on Thursday, 12th January, 2017, OAU Peeps News Agency has learnt. The programme is expected to hold at the Amphitheatre, Oduduwa Hall by 10:00am.

Previous editions of the thanksgiving service have witnessed the presence of the Spiritual leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E. A. Adeboye. However, with the current issue on leadership structure in the church, caused by the federal government's Financial Reporting Council Act implementation, the cleric's presence this time is highly doubtful.
