OAU Set To Inaugurates The New Vice-Chancellor Amidst Asuu Strike.

The Obafemi Awolowo University is set to inaugurate Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire as the new  Vice-Chancellor according to the release of the directorate of corporate services of the internal memorandum.

Recall it was earlier reported by OAU Peeps News Agency that Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire was appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor out of the twenty applicants of which sixteen were shortlisted, having met the advertised criteria. 

His appointment which however was not acceptable by ile-ife indigenes because of the  emergence of non-ife indigene as the incoming Vice Chancellor of the institution made aggrieved indigenes of the ancient city, to protest against the appointment of Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire as they went spiritual as some of them were seen in their full-blown traditional outfits

The inauguration ceremony has been scheduled to hold on Tuesday 7th June, 2022 by10am at the level of Oduduwa hall.

Babafaros Appointed As West Africa Youth Ambassador

Popular social media influencer and former Editor in Chief of OAU Peeps News Agency Farombi Oluwaseun Babafaros has been appointed as West Africa Youth Ambassador

The letter of Appointment which was signed by the President/Chairman of the West Africa Youth Council Amb. Emmanuel S. William confirm that the board of the West African(ECOWAS) Youth Council on the recommendation of her young people appointed him as a West Africa Youth Ambassador. 

The appointment which came because of his laudable antecedents of dedication, hard work and diligence in the area of service to humanity and commendable work as an advocate and relentless crusader of promoting entrepreneurship for African Youths.

Taking to his instagram page, the social media influencer said. The ECOWAS Youth Council under the Chairmanship of @theseunwilliam has just considered me worthy of being appointed one of her Ambassadors. I must really state that I appreciate this appointment as it is a charge for me to invest more in nation-building through the promotion of entrepreneurship amongst the teeming Nigerian and African youths at large. 

Moving forward, I promise not to misuse this opportunity and to contribute my quota in projecting the good name and ideals of the Youth Council beyond the shores of Africa.

Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) JUPEB Admission Form 2022/2023 : Get Admitted Directly into 200 Level

 

Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) Programme for the 2022/2023 Session.

OAU JUPEB Programme leads to the JUPEB Certificate award, which enables the candidate to gain Direct Entry admissions into Obafemi Awolowo University and other Universities in Nigeria.

BREAKING: President Reform Discharged From Hospital

The Great Ife Students' Union President, Comrade Olayiwola  Folahan Festus "Reform" who was earlier reported by OAU Peeps News Agency to have slumped and rushed down to the hospital at the early hours of Saturday, 21st May 2022 has been discharged from the hospital. 

The President in a Thank You statement send his greetings to appreciate Great Ife Students for sending him overwhelming love and support for the past three days thrilled him that Great Ife Students kept him in thought and close to their heart. 

He however assured Great Ife Students that with a little rest have been discharged from the hospital, he will be able to fully function in his capacity as the President Of the Great Ife Students' Union.

Great Ife Students' Union Provides More Updates Regarding The President Health.

The Great Ife Students' Union has provided more updates regarding the president health who was earlier reported by OAU Peeps News Agency to have slumped at the early hours of Saturday, 21st May 2022. 

In a Press Release made available to OAUPeeps News Agency, the Spokesman of the Union Comr. Ogunperi Taofeek Olalekan "Tao" said the President was rushed to Apex Hospital Ibadan Road, ile-ife where he was hospitalized but now stable before been transferred to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital where he has since been receiving further treatment.

The statement read thus:

ON THE HEALTH STATUS OF COMRADE PRESIDENT REFORM

We would like to inform the students of the University that our President, Comrade Reform, who was hospitalized early this morning is now stable. Early today, he had slumped and was rushed to Apex Hospital, Ibadan Road, Ile-Ife.

Upon receiving a distress call, the Secretary General had informed officers of the Union at SUB and left for Apex Hospital. From Apex Hospital, Mr President was transferred to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital where he has since been receiving further treatment.

We express sincere gratitude to all who have put calls through, texted and visited to check on the President. He is still undergoing medical treatment and we solicit your prayers, support and understanding at this time.

OAU Students' Union President Slumped, Rushed To The Hospital

At the early hours of Saturday, 21st May 2022, the Great Ife Students' Union President Comr. Olayiwola Folahan Festus, "Reform" was reported to have slumped and rushed down to Apex hospital.

However, the President was resuscitated and then moved to OAUTHC, where is now recovering 

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Eyitope Ogunbodede paid a visit to the President on his sickbed to check up on him.

As at the time of writing this report, the cause of the incident is unknown at the moment and every effort to reach out to the PRO of the Union Comr. Ogunperi Taofeek Olalekan "TAO" prove abortive. 

Forerunner Creativity And Innovation Releases Press Release As Most Beautiful Girl In OAU Audition Starts Tomorrow

 

It is with great humility that we introduce our organization Forerunner Creativity and Innovation. The organization is committed to promoting unity in our dear country "One Nigeria", In lieu of this, FCI has organised a national cultural pageantry in conjunction with Babafarous entertainment tagged "Most Beautiful Girl in OAU (MBG_OAU). 

The competition is targeted at building and raising young ladies with high self esteem, self confidence, leadership qualities who would become more responsible in their community and promote unity in diversity. The organization is proudly endorsed by HRM Oba Idowu Adediwura (Obalufe of Ife) and supported by the Great Ife Students Union

The Organization has ended her sales of form which has been on for a while now and has a quite number of contestants who are from different departments and faculties in OAU.

The journey to who wears the crown has begun, the auditioning of our contestants has been slated for 5th and 6th May, 2022 which will be online reasons due to the ongoing strike which has lured  many students ( including our contestants) to travel back to their various homes. The top contestants will be unveiled immediately after the auditioning. 

We Implore the Great Ife students to kindly follow this contest to the core as we have various contestants who are from different departments and they would definitely need the help of their departmental and/or faculty mates. The Great Ife students will also be  involved in determining who would be crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in OAU 2022, Don't be left out, Don't miss out any update.
