Obafemi Awolowo University Adjusts Students' Fees for 2023 Academic Session Following Senate Decision

With the new academic session on the horizon, the management of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, has disclosed revisions to the students' fees for the upcoming academic year. 

The new fee structure was unveiled by the University's Public Relations Officer in a press release and made available to OAUpeeps News Agency.

According to the statement, fresh students in the Faculties of Arts, Law, and Humanities will pay #151,200

While returning students in these faculties will pay #89,200. 

Similarly, fresh students in the Faculties of Technology and Science will be charged #163,200, with returning students in these faculties facing a fee of #101,200.

This fee adjustment is not specified to these faculties alone; new students entering the Faculties in the College of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Pharmacy will pay #190,200 and #128,200, respectively, while returning students in the same faculties will incur fees of #128,200 and #89,200, respectively.

The management extends its best wishes to the students for a successful academic programme.

OAU CDL: 2019/2020 OAU Pre-degree Form Released

OAU Peeps News Agency has been able to confirm that the Centre for Distance Learning (CDL), Obafemi Awolowo University has started recieving applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-Degree Programme for 2019/2020 Session.


Eligibility
Eligible Candidates must possess minimum of 5 Credits in 5 subjects at a maximum of two sittings including English Language (for ALL Courses), Mathematics (for Science-based and Social Science-based Courses) and Literature-in-English (for Law).

Duration
The programme normally runs for two (2) contact periods both within nine (9) calendar months.

Method of Application
Pay the Application fee of ₦15,000.00 through e-Tranzact Payment Platform at any branch of First Bank, Skye Bank, Wema Bank or UBA Plc Nationwide. A Receipt which contains a Receipt Number and Confirmation Order Number will be given to you at the Bank. (Please note that Bank charges must be paid).

Alternatively, you can also pay the application fee through Interswitch Webpay Platform using your ATM or Debit Card.

Go to OAUCDL website: (www.oaucdl.edu.ng) and Click on: "2019/2020 Pre-Degree Application" and read the Instruction carefully. Create your account by clicking on "Apply Now!". You are to supply valid username, password, email address and other required information.
After creating the Account, login back into your Account with your username and password.
Click on your preferred Payment Method (either e-tranzact or Interswitch Webpay).
Fill the online Application Form and upload your recent passport photograph.

The passport photograph must meet the following specifications:
The passport photograph must be coloured with white background (Black and white photograph is not acceptable).
The passport must be recent (not earlier than 3 Months before the time of the application) and the size should not be more than 100KB.
After filling the form, logout and keep your username and password safe. (Save your Username and Password on your Phone so as not to forget). Keep checking the website from time to time for the actual date of the entrance examination.

General Information
Applicants are to note that the Pre-degree entrance exam will be computer-based. You are hereby advised to familiarise yourself with the basic use of computer.
Pre-Degree Applicants are advised to to be checking our website from time to time for the actual date of the Entrance Exam and other relevant information.
All candidates are required to register for 2020 UTME during the Programme.
All Candidates are required to use valid e-mail addresses and PERSONAL Telephone Numbers.
The forms must be filled and submitted on-line either immediately or within 2 weeks of accessing the website. No downloaded or printed copies of forms will be accepted.
Applicants are to note that the Pre-Degree Entrance Exam holds at Ile-Ife Centre only.
Candidates are advised to follow the Application Instructions very carefully and ensure they select the Correct SUBJECT COMBINATION. Failure to do so may adversely affect the Candidate.

2019 OAU Post-UTME Application Form Released
OAU Peeps News Agency can now confirm the release of OAU Post UTME. A release from the Office of The Registrar read thus:

2019 Admission Screening Exercise for UTME and Direct Entry Candidates //

Candidates who made the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife their first choice in the 2019 UTME and scored 200 and above, and those who applied for Direct Entry (DE) are hereby informed to log on to the admissions portal, admissions.oauife.edu.ng or the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife website (www.oauife.edu.ng) to register for the POST-UTME screening exercise effective.

Candidates are required to visit admissions.oauife.edu.ng and login with their JAMB Registration Number to commence the on-line registration process for the screening exercise. Candidates will be required to obtain an RRR (Remita Retrieval Reference) from this site only, and use it to make payment online or at any commercial bank.

Applicants for the Screening Exercise will be required to do the following on the University admissions portal https://admissions.oauife.edu.ng

1.      Update JAMB data
2.      Upload Results (i.e WAEC, NECO, JUPEB, ND, NCE etc)
3.      Upload scanned copy of credentials
4.      Upload passport photograph (if not available)
5.      Print completed Admission Screening form

Applicants that provide false information, or upload incorrect credentials will automatically be disqualified.

The closing date for registration of screening of all UTME candidates is  11th August 2019.  The facility for DE candidates will be available as from Thursday 15th August, 2019. After Registration, DE Students should ensure that their transcript is forwarded by the Awarding Institution to the Admission Office, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife for DE Admission processing. 

UTME Candidates will also be required to participate in the Post-UTME screening on their allotted date and time between 31st August and 4th September, 2019. It should be noted that the Direct Entry (DE) candidates will not be participating in the Screening.

Applicants should note that the screening fee is N2,000. They will however be required to pay appropriate bank charges.
