Application For 2022/2023 OAU Predegree Programme Starts, See Details

 

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Pre-Degree Programme for the 2022/2023 Session.

The application portal opens on 23rd May and will close on the 24th of June 2022

Eligibility
Eligible Candidates must possess minimum of 5 Credits in 5 subjects at a maximum of two sittings including English Language (for ALL Courses), Mathematics (for Science-based and Social Science-based Courses) and Literature-in-English (for Law).
Duration
The programme normally runs for two (2) contact periods both within nine (9) calendar months.

Method of Application

To pay your application fee, you can choose from either of the two Payment methods provided below:

1. Method 1: Payment through Paystack: You can pay the ₦15,000.00 Application Fee through Paystack Payment Platform with the options of paying with your ATM or Debit Card, Bank Transfer, USSD, Direct account debit, e.t.c.
   Method 2: Payment through e-Tranzact: Alternatively, you can also pay the ₦15,000.00 Application Fee through e-Tranzact Webconnect Payment Platform using your ATM or Debit Card.
2. Go to OAUCDL website: (www.oaucdl.edu.ng) and Click on: “2022/2023 Pre-Degree Application” and read the Instruction carefully. Create your account by clicking on “Apply Now!“. You are to supply valid username, password, email address and other required information.
3. After creating the Account, login back into your Account with your username and password.
4. Click on your preferred Payment Method (either e-Tranzact or Paystack).
5. Fill the online Application Form and upload your recent passport photograph. The passport photograph must meet the following specifications:
6. The passport photograph must be coloured with white background (Black and white photograph is not acceptable).
7. The passport must be recent (not earlier than 3 Months before the time of the application) and the size should not be more than 100KB.
8. After filling the form, logout and keep your username and password safe. (Save your Username and Password on your Phone so as not to forget). Keep checking the website from time to time for the actual date of the entrance examination.

General Information

• Applicants are to note that the Pre-degree entrance exam will be computer-based. You are hereby advised to familiarise yourself with the basic use of computer.
• Pre-Degree Applicants are advised to be checking our website from time to time for the actual date of the Entrance Exam and other relevant information.
• All candidates are required to register for 2022 UTME during the Programme.
• All Candidates are required to use valid e-mail addresses and PERSONAL Telephone Numbers.
• The forms must be filled and submitted on-line either immediately or within 2 weeks of accessing the website. No downloaded or printed copies of forms will be accepted.
• Applicants are to note that the Pre-Degree Entrance Exam holds at Ile-Ife Centre and a centre in Ikeja, Lagos State.
• Candidates are advised to follow the Application Instructions very carefully and ensure they select the Correct SUBJECT COMBINATION. Failure to do so may adversely affect the Candidate.

BREAKING: President Reform Discharged From Hospital

The Great Ife Students' Union President, Comrade Olayiwola  Folahan Festus "Reform" who was earlier reported by OAU Peeps News Agency to have slumped and rushed down to the hospital at the early hours of Saturday, 21st May 2022 has been discharged from the hospital. 

The President in a Thank You statement send his greetings to appreciate Great Ife Students for sending him overwhelming love and support for the past three days thrilled him that Great Ife Students kept him in thought and close to their heart. 

He however assured Great Ife Students that with a little rest have been discharged from the hospital, he will be able to fully function in his capacity as the President Of the Great Ife Students' Union.

Great Ife Students' Union Provides More Updates Regarding The President Health.

The Great Ife Students' Union has provided more updates regarding the president health who was earlier reported by OAU Peeps News Agency to have slumped at the early hours of Saturday, 21st May 2022. 

In a Press Release made available to OAUPeeps News Agency, the Spokesman of the Union Comr. Ogunperi Taofeek Olalekan "Tao" said the President was rushed to Apex Hospital Ibadan Road, ile-ife where he was hospitalized but now stable before been transferred to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital where he has since been receiving further treatment.

The statement read thus:

ON THE HEALTH STATUS OF COMRADE PRESIDENT REFORM

We would like to inform the students of the University that our President, Comrade Reform, who was hospitalized early this morning is now stable. Early today, he had slumped and was rushed to Apex Hospital, Ibadan Road, Ile-Ife.

Upon receiving a distress call, the Secretary General had informed officers of the Union at SUB and left for Apex Hospital. From Apex Hospital, Mr President was transferred to Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital where he has since been receiving further treatment.

We express sincere gratitude to all who have put calls through, texted and visited to check on the President. He is still undergoing medical treatment and we solicit your prayers, support and understanding at this time.

OAU Students' Union President Slumped, Rushed To The Hospital

At the early hours of Saturday, 21st May 2022, the Great Ife Students' Union President Comr. Olayiwola Folahan Festus, "Reform" was reported to have slumped and rushed down to Apex hospital.

However, the President was resuscitated and then moved to OAUTHC, where is now recovering 

The Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof Eyitope Ogunbodede paid a visit to the President on his sickbed to check up on him.

As at the time of writing this report, the cause of the incident is unknown at the moment and every effort to reach out to the PRO of the Union Comr. Ogunperi Taofeek Olalekan "TAO" prove abortive.

It is with great humility that we introduce our organization Forerunner Creativity and Innovation. The organization is committed to promoting unity in our dear country "One Nigeria", In lieu of this, FCI has organised a national cultural pageantry in conjunction with Babafarous entertainment tagged "Most Beautiful Girl in OAU (MBG_OAU). 

The competition is targeted at building and raising young ladies with high self esteem, self confidence, leadership qualities who would become more responsible in their community and promote unity in diversity. The organization is proudly endorsed by HRM Oba Idowu Adediwura (Obalufe of Ife) and supported by the Great Ife Students Union

The Organization has ended her sales of form which has been on for a while now and has a quite number of contestants who are from different departments and faculties in OAU.

The journey to who wears the crown has begun, the auditioning of our contestants has been slated for 5th and 6th May, 2022 which will be online reasons due to the ongoing strike which has lured  many students ( including our contestants) to travel back to their various homes. The top contestants will be unveiled immediately after the auditioning. 

We Implore the Great Ife students to kindly follow this contest to the core as we have various contestants who are from different departments and they would definitely need the help of their departmental and/or faculty mates. The Great Ife students will also be  involved in determining who would be crowned the Most Beautiful Girl in OAU 2022, Don't be left out, Don't miss out any update.

#OAUGATE: Arraigned Dr IBK Fails To Meet Bail Condition, To Be Remanded In Prison

The arraigned impeached President of the 2016/2017 parliamentary session who was arrested by the Security Department of the university and transferred to Moore Police Station appeared in the court of law this morning at the Chief Magistrate Court, along Ibadan Road ile-ife. 

Oyekan Ibunkun, "Dr IBK" who pleaded not guilty to the two-count charge against him with the state as the prosecution and him as the defendant. 

However, impeached President will be remanded in Kosere prison till Tuesday, 26 April 2022 after failing to meet the bail condition of two guarantors with a sum of #500,000 each; the defendants must be Ife residents, and they must be gainfully employed.

Dr IBK Charged To Court Over Illegal Withdrawal of N720,000 From The Union Account

Mr Oyekan Ibukun, "Dr IBK" the impeached President of the Students' Union Of 2016/2019 parliamentary session has been charged to court over the illegal withdrawal of 720,000 from the Union account. 

Recall that Eagle Post News Outfit made a report on Friday, 8 April 2022 of how over 700,000 Naira was withdrawn from the Union account through the collaboration of the impeached President "Dr IBK and the Present President of the Union "Reform". The claim which the President denied in a Release that he's sign for any withdrawal of funds from the Union account. 

Further steps were taken by the Central Executive Council of the Union by going to the bank and make enquiries of how the money was withdrawn without the signature of the President and the Financial Secretary. After which UBA bank revealed that the money was transferred through Internet banking by Dr. IBK to one Bello Oyeku. 

Consequently, Dr. IBK was arrested on Wednesday, 15 April 2022 by the Security Department of the university and transferred to Moore Police Station for further investigation. Further information obtained by OAU Peeps News Agency through the Public Relations Officer of the Union reveal that Dr. IBK is now to appear before a court of law. 

The court hearing is to be heard at a chief Magistrate's Court along Ibadan Road, Ile-Ife, by 9am on Thursday, 14 April 2022. Also attending the court today are the President of the Students' Union, Comrade Olayiwola Folahan Festus "Reform" and the Financial Secretary, Comrade Oluwasegun Abiola Joy, "Legbeti", other members of the Central Executive Council, Honourables and students
