Admist the celebration of valentine, JASFET Foundation embarked on a trip to Abiye Orphanage & Children Home located at Agowande area, Oshogbo, Osun state.
JASFET Foundation is co-founded by Jegede Abayomi Samuel and Fetuga Aderibigbe. The party arrived at the orphanage home at about 3:30pm and were received by Pastor Ayoola, who was the head of the orphanage home. Mr Ayoola introduced the crew to Mrs Ijagbemi, the head of care giver and to some other staffs. He appreciated the foundation for visiting the Home despite the economic hardship.
Upon introduction of the foundation, a round table competition was held in which the kids enjoyed.
Jegede Abayomi Samuel stated the purpose for the visit. He highlighted 4 purpose for which the foundation was established which includes;
1. Donation to Orphanage Home.
2. Youth Empowerment.
3. Leadership.
4. Educational support.
He asked the Head of care giver some questions part of which include; 'why do the rich people in the country fails to support the Orphanage Home?'.
"The rich people in this country are too wicked and ignorant because they are stingy with their money and fail to support the needy, she said". When asked how many kids were in the Home, she said that there are currently about 2O Children.
FETUGA, a co - founder of the foundation , asked on the necessary procedure for adopting a child from the orphanage home. Mrs Ijagbemi noted that the Commission for Women Affairs was responsible for approving the adoption of a child from the Home. She then solicited for support from Nigerians. She said the rate at which the home is visited has reduced drastically due to recession in the economy.
JASFET Foundation donated gifts such as biscuits, sweet and some other goodies and also some amount of money to the Home. Pictures were taken with the kids and staffs of the orphanage home. The staffs appreciated the foundation for the hands of love extended to the home. The party left the home at about 5:40pm.
