OAU Students Appeal To Aregbesola, Osun CP Over Colleagues Suspension

Students of Obafemi Awolowo University have appealed to the school management, Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola and the state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Maishanu, over the reinstatement of their suspended colleagues.

The authorities of OAU had suspended eight students of the school over allegation of misconduct, claiming that the students would be reinstated after the completion of a police investigation.

Students Union leaders in the school were also placed on rustication on probation allegedly for their roles during the protests against fee hike.

The suspended students are Pele Obasa, Ibirogba Samuel, Ademuwagun Johnson, Sanyaolu Oluwajuwon, Oluwole Olubanji, Benjamin Olusiji, Adabale Olamide, Abiodun Abimbola.
However, during a press conference, President of the SU, Ibikunle Isaac wondered why the school management suspended the students without any investigative report.

He explained that the police seems not to be helping matters, lamenting that they were harassed when they visited the Osun State Police Command to lodge complaints.

He said, "Currently, all Executives of the Students Union are under probationary rustication for their involvement in the struggle against hike in fee and 8 other students are on indefinite suspension for their principled defense of the collective interest of students and demand for justice.

"We re-affirm our believe that this courageous students are not criminals.
We strongly appeal to the university authority, Osun State Governor and CP to ensure the freedom of these students. This is because our management in the letter given to the suspended students said they will only be reinstated after an investigation conducted by the police has been concluded. We are still in darkness on whether or not a case is actually with the police but we know that the governor also has power over a case like this. We urge him to intervene and ensure our students freedom.
"We have also tried other diplomatic means as we have written to the Governing Council, ASUU and our various intermediaries to ensure immediate reinstatement and withdrawal of charges against students union leaders and activists. This approach we believe will be productive."

Meanwhile, one of the suspended students, Juwon has charged OAU management and commissioner of police among other to court to challenge his suspension.

ACJ Moves To Mediate Between Polar OAU Union Leadership

It is no longer rumour or a breaking news that the Obafemi Awolowo University Students' Union President, Comrade Ibikunle Isaac and the Vice President, Comrade Oladejo Funmi a.k.a Olori are not in good terms, thus the Union is experiencing its most unpalatable moment in recent years.

This can be corroborated with recent Press Statements issued from the offices of the two leading Union officers as they trade blames and point accusing fingers at themselves. They continue to give Great Ife students reasons to believe and conclude that there is more than meets the eye. Olori in her last Release which she titled OLORI: THE UNITY I WANT, IS THAT OF PURPOSE, tried to justify the 'Congress' she called on October 2 which has since been a subject of controversy amidst the student populace and which Ibikunle himself during the last Press Conference critically and constitutionally condemned. Now, who is telling the truth? Who should innocent Great Ife students believe? What are the hidden stories behind the polarization in our Union? What are the efforts of the Union officers in a bid to restore normalcy on campus? What is the real stance of the Union factions on the issue of the suspended OAU students?
In a bid to answer these questions and hopefully ensure that things that had fallen/is falling apart are brought back together, the Association of Campus Journalist(ACJ) has taken the bold step to hear both parties and shed light on those areas that are grey to Great Ife students. ACJ will be having a Closed Joint Interview for the two leading Union officers; The President and Vice President of the Students' Union which will be reported immediately to students of OAU.

Speaking on the proposed interview, the ACJ Chairman Guild of Editors, Ayodele Ibiyemi said that Journalists, as the conscience of the masses should be the voice of the ordinary people and cannot look away in a time like this when the studentry is extremely polarized. He further pointed out that the Closed Joint Interview is intended at giving the student the real picture of what is actually going on. In his words, "We intend to give people the truth as against the propaganda that is being peddled. We also intend to mediate between the opposing forces".

As at the time of filing this report, the Union President has consented to honour the invitation as ACJ still awaits the notification from the Vice President. The report of the Interview will be explicitly reported on our website immediately after the interview.

The Hydra-headed Nature Of Political Parties And Their Effects On Democracy

Democracy simply put is defined as "government of the people, for the people and by the people’’ and since the beginning of the recorded history of man, man has experimented with numerous types of government such as monarchy, theocracy, oligarchy and autocracy but of all, democracy is adjudged the best because it gives political power to citizens of the state instead of giving such to a particular person or few families. Although power belongs to the masses in a democratic state, not every individual will have the opportunity of participating actively in the affairs of the state or be able to hold political position. What people therefore do is that they elect representatives on the platform of the political parties as the party system is a surer way of electing representatives. A political egghead while trying to reiterate the relevance of viable political parties to democracy said that ‘’in ideal democracies, political parties are not perceived as mere platform for contesting elections rather, they play plethora of roles like educating their members politically, informing members in administrative offices about public opinion as well as maintaining a strong ideological base that would ensure its survivals in future election‘’. The above stated clearly underscores the sanctity of political parties to the socio political, economic and democratic development of a nation as political parties control the human element in a nation.

Unfortunately, since the evolution of democracy in Nigeria in the year 1999 after many years of military rule, Nigerian political parties vested with responsibility of managing the nation’s resources and people have failed to steer the ship of Nigeria to the shore of development. These parties refuse to learn from the 1966 to 1999 experience and have therefore failed continually in proffering creative solution to the nation’s numerous problems as a result of their hydra-heeded nature.

The major hydra-headed or intractable problem confronting our political parties is the lack of clear-cut ideology. Before going further, it is imperative to take a look at the definition of ideology. To a layman, ideology is a system of ideas and ideals especially one which form the basis of economy or political policy. But in political parlance, the definition of Paul James will be most suitable. According to Paul James, political ideology means ‘Patterned cluster of normatively imbued ideas and concepts, including particular representation of power relation. These conceptual maps help people navigate the complexity of their political universe and carry claims to social truth’’. For the fact that ideology describes a set of ideas, it is therefore ipsofacto central to Politics. Looking at the structure and manifestoes of the about fifty political parties in Nigeria, one will realize that all are bereft of ideology and none has an intelligent manifesto. These parties posses the same ideology and manifesto of “chop I chop” and “the end justifies the means” which add no value to the nation. Since ideology serve as the foundational principle or Policy of a vibrant political group and in extension, since a political party is essential for democracy to thrive, it would therefore not be erroneous to say that the bane of the problems confronting the Nigerian state is the clueless political party the country parades.

Lack of internal Democracy in the structure of Political Parties is also a stumbling block, no wonder they cannot provide us with a truly Democratic State. In their organization, these Parties are always locked in internal competition and strife occasioned by the battle for Supremacy. Very good examples are the battle for Political leadership of the Ogun State chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) between Omooba Olusegun Osoba and the incumbent Governor, Ibikunle Amosun and the struggle for relevance between Senator Teslim Folarin and Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala in the Oyo State chapter of the people’s Democratic Party (PDP) to mention a few.

Furthermore, none of the Political Parties in Nigerian can be tagged as a national party. All our parties are regionalized and are delineated along religion and ethnic line. Religion and ethnicity have become Political Platforms in Polity. Expressions like “Christian – Muslim ticket” “Muslim – Christian ticket” “Christian – Christian ticket” “Muslim – Muslim ticket” “Hausa – Yoruba ticket” “Igbo – Ijaw ticket” et al have found their way into our politics which has led to social unrest and agitations for secession.

The monetization of political processes is another faceless monster affecting democracy
as it is well known fact that in any clime where the processes for joining political parties or contesting election is based on financial muscle, democracy in such a situation will never stand the test of time. Election nomination forms in Nigerian cost on the average, between five hundred thousand naira and ten million naira which has put it out of the reach of the lower and middle class People. Political Parties have become channel for siphoning public funds. Their primary aim have become looking for ways to grab political power at all levels and by all means possible so as to gain access to the national treasury to milk it dry.

These teeming and intractable knotty issues confronting our political parties have dealt our democracy a deadly blow and have inflicted a sore wound on the socio-economic and political development of our country. This is evident in the quality of elections that have been held in Nigeria. In any democracy, elections are used as the yardstick for measuring the level of democratic development but the conduct of election in Nigeria only reflects the level of democratic underdevelopment in the body polity. Elections in Nigeria have been marked by shoddy preparation and organization, lack of transparency, disenfranchisement of a large number of voters and a high level of pre and post election violence.
Other defeatist effects of the hydra –headed nature of political parties on democracy include the lack of respect for the sacrosanct constitution of the country. There is a prevalence of extra-judicial killings, brazen disrespect of the rule of law and a ginormous level of corruption. Negative ideals and values have found their way into the nation and are fast eating up the moral fabric of the nation. Ill-gotten wealth has taken precedence over labour and the government feeds fat on the commonwealth to the detriment of crucial sectors like education , health and economy and political gladiators now cross –carpet without shame .Nigerians sell their civic rights to the highest bidders and idiolect like ‘’stomach infrastructure’’ have found their way into the Nigerian political jargon. To say the least, democracy has degenerated into "ablistocracy" which according to Femi Falana (SAN) means ‘’government of the cabal, by the cabal and for the cabal’’ (cabal means the rich few).

One will be utterly disappointed and highly disconsolate if one should compare the democratic, social , political and economic development of Nigeria with that of countries like Singapore , Indonesia and Malaysia – These countries once trailed behind Nigeria (in terms of development or underdevelopment, as the case maybe ) but have now joined the league of developed nations with Nigeria still wallowing in object underdevelopment.

On a final note , to build an ideal democratic state and open Nigeria up for development , our political parties and political actors must fulfill their primary objectives. If serious about developing democracy, political parties must espouse lucid ideological values and positive ideals of tolerance, justice, equality, fair play, accountability and respect or the sacrosanct constitution and rule of law. They must also spread their tentacles to accommodate people without prejudice or ethno-religious bias. Parties should provide communication channels that are vertical and horizontal which will facilitate a healthy relationship and downplay 'factionalization' and internal strife to the barest minimum. Once political parties re-strategize and change their defective orientation, things will fall into their proper places and Nigeria will be able to boast of a sane democratic order.

'I Would Defend What Is Rational Even If I Am Standing Alone' -Olori

OLORI: THE UNITY I WANT, IS THAT OF PURPOSE

‘Those who cannot defend the past conquest cannot fight for new ones’
-Leon Trostky.

Greatest Ife, I salute your doggedness and resilience in the face of anti-students conditions manifesting on campus. How else can we describe the state of electricity supply, poor grading system, and burden meted on students, if not anti- students situations. Quite unfortunate is it, that the weeds of these conditions, though planted by the management, are watered by the leadership of our dear union, through misplacement of priority, and disdainful disregard for the guiding norms of our union.
Against this background, especially because of the organized defamation of my character and the conscious misinterpretation of my intentions, I write Great Ife students to put the record straight.

The news making round: ‘that out of ambition, I usurped the power of the president by mobilizing for a congress’ over erratic power supply some weeks ago, that I am being used to divide the union and cause disunity among the leadership of the union. These allegations, aside from being baseless and petty, their absurdity too, make them unworthy of response. However, for the sake of history, and our values which are being molested by political vegetables and intellectual potatoes, on the alter of lickspittles [seeking for sympathy], and cowardice, I write congressmen and women of our Great union to salvage these values.

When I mobilized for a congress on Oct 2, by then it had been over four weeks that electricity supply had been unprecedentedly erratic and exactly 6 days of total blackout. Amid the general demand of students including myself, was a call for a congress to address this abnormality among other disasters befalling the students’ populace, MY PRESIDENT OBJECTED. The approach of the leadership was to join the management in begging for our ‘patience’, as the fault is tracked to Osogbo today, and campus cable tomorrow, instead of mounting pressure on the management to provide a STABLE ALTERNATIVE TO POWER SUPPLY!.7
In the middle of all these, the parliament was meeting, debating membership of committees, and lazily referring cogent issues such as suspension of the OAU 9 to committees for deliberations. Please note: this parliament ordered referendum to be conducted [as suggested by madam DSA in a meeting dated 20-8-2014], on fee hike struggle; and has since not decided or analyzed the result of this referendum. For any dispassionate observer, it is just natural to conclude that these two councils have demonstrated inability to decipher which issue to be given a priority in a democratic students union, and not student union government.

It had been my strong opinion that the failure of power supply on campus is not natural as being portrayed, but a crass ineptitude and of course fraud on the part of the University Management. What else can we call a condition gone worst after forced payment of outrageous fee, if not daylight robbery? It is then logical for any pro- student union leadership to allow their members air their pleasure or displeasure over such monumental fraud. Instead, the leadership as usual, shrugged the call for a congress and UNILATERALLY decided on behalf of over 33,000 students to boycott lectures. In my opinion, a boycott that is not decided by students in a congress is simply putting the cart before the horse, an act of terrorism, and pure oppression! To me, it is not surprising that my president fears a congress, which should be his source of authority and legitimacy. The conscious inaction of the leadership during the University closure, their involvement in the suspension of our finest comrades, and series of aberrations committed as never heard in the history of our great union is enough to make them fear the unknown. In a way, whether consciously or inadvertently, the leadership helped the management achieved the onslaught of fee hike and eventually counted installmental payment as achievement. Let’s call a spade, a spade, if he does not have anything to hide before the congress of students, as transparency and equality is the fulcrum of our union, The president has no reason to fear or dodge the gathering of those who elected him.

‘That congresses are sparsely participated and less representational’ is an insincere argument of a sophist. The questions to be asked from this rigid adherent of majority participation is that: How many votes did they amass during the last union election? Less than 7% of over 33,000 students voted in the last election. If these individuals had rejected their mandates back then because of the sparse participation of students in the election, then their arguments would have been more consistent and less fallacious. Moreso, participation in congress should be a reflection of the efficiency of the public relations unit of the union. Instead of the time and energy expended on issuing propagandas and conjuring flimsy arguments, such materials could have been effectively used in mobilizing for a congress.

Let me say for record that I am not intimidated by the petty allegations that I usurped the president and hence be impeached. As a student of language and someone who understands the logical implications of disjunctive statements, Article iii, section 24 of our sacrosanct constitution is clear that if the president is ill or absent from campus, the vice president shall act in his absence and perform ALL the functions of his office. Unilaterally, to summon a congress is part of his duties and he was not on campus, the situation of electricity crisis deserves a deliberation of members of our union, then the congress was not only constitutional, but morally correct and rationally warranted. Instead of appreciating his defensive vice, he clamors for her impeachment, what a shame!

In confirmation of the childishness and misplacement of priority of this current leadership, the next parliamentary sitting after the congress only set with the motive of discussing the unconstitutionality of my actions-of course to impeach myself and the Honorable clerk of the house. Nine members of our union are suffering the poma of victimization, mass failure in chemistry, suspension of e-portal accounts, erratic power supply, bad transport system among others, and then all parliamentarians could discuss is Olori and Azaro. Let me remind the parliamentarians of their DOUBLE-STANDARD, when the president unilaterally without any house ratification collected a greek gift from omisore at the time we were waging a struggle against fee hike, our fastidious parliament kept criminal silence, and fail to review such anti- union activities, rather they were committing fallacy of TU QUO QUE [what about you?]. Now, they want the vice president and the clerk OUT for calling a congress that is not only progressive but evidently productive. Very funny!

On Olori’s fussilade of slap, it was Joseph Goebels, that propagandist of Adolf Hitler that said ‘when a lie is repeated often enough, it becomes the truth’. Giving counter accusations or attacking the personalities of those pathological liars will only portray our thinking faculty to be the same. As far as I will not be poncey about my sharp response to harassment, my unreserved apology goes to the lord chancellor who claimed to be mistaken for the other guy that gave me a kick. Every other attackers of personality, I leave you all to the court of public opinion as witnesses at the scenes and God are the best judges.

On the question of dividing the union: our union only UNITES on the ground of common purpose- to advance and defend the democratic interests of our members. Fortunately enough, I was elected on that basis, and I would never unite with anybody who hides under the guise of union office to work against our collective interest. How can we describe a speaker of the parliament who submitted a report of students [to management for victimization in our very own eyes on Friday, 17-10-2014], whom he is elected to represent and defend their interest no matter what!? Infact, if the President believes that the union is not united, why is he running from a gathering that is the only capable instrument of uniting it? The people who are imposing their modus operandi on our union and avoiding our congress- the cradle of the union itself, are not only dividing us but demolishing our values. ‘Those who profess to favor peace and depreciates justice are men who want crops without plowing the ground, they want rain without lighting and thunder, they want ocean without the awful roar of many waters’- Fredrick Douglass
It must be noted that gone are the era of male or female dichotomy, this is the era of reasoning and commonsense, I was duly elected and not appointed. Therefore, I would defend what is rational even if I am standing alone. Again as a woman, I refused to be discouraged by intimidation and threats from within and without. With every atom of my strength, I will defend the mandates given me: ‘their agitations shall be my requests’.

On a final note, to Madam DSA who promised that the OAU 9 will not see the light of this campus, you are not GOD!, He is the Almighty and their fate can only be determined by Him not the leadership that nails students on the cross of victimization or your motherly self. To deny people their human rights, is to challenge their very existence. I stand to say these people are not criminals, thieves, rogues, hooligans, or thugs. They stood for justice when all heads were bowed, when all chips were down, they fought for the reinstatement of our union which LOOTERS are now enjoying. They are the real anchors in the moments of silence.

WAY FORWARD : Mr president, CALL A CONGRESS to unban the union, claim our legitimacy and to unify the students in order to fight our common enemy!

REINSTATE OAU 9 NOW!
OAU CLAMORS FOR A CONGRESS!!
AMANDLA AWETHU!!!

Signed>

The Effect Of Admission Racketeering On The Nigerian Economy

Racketeering is defined as a process whereby a person or persons demand money through unscrupulous and illegal means to perform an action. In the same vein, Admission Racketeering can be defined as an illegal process that comes up when admission seekers pay a certain set of people money to gain admission into tertiary institutions. Simply put, Admission Racketeering is a money-for-admission process, an obvious perversion of the 'admissioneering' process.

Hence, it is no longer news that this process in now the evident order of the day in our tertiary institutions. In fact, the government, parents, lecturers, school administrators and students are all major players in this ignoble act. This process has not only blemished our education system but, it has also affected the Nigerian economy at large. Permit me to do a postmortem on this vice and the pertinent of the reasons in which it affects the economy will be highlighted below. For the purpose of precision and specification, I'll limit my piece on the university.
Firstly, racketeering admission has disrupted and perverted the once sane processing of admission. In our varisities today, there are more average but rich students walking the four corners of the campus. This is at the expense of brilliant students who deserve admission but due to their inability to pay the astronomical fees charged by racketeers are robbed of admission. This is a process I term Enthronement of Mediocrity over Meritocracy. Hence, top university officials reserve and hoard admission slots for their beloved candidates in lieu of the brilliant ones who deserve such slots. At the long run, the mentality of these bunch of mediocre students becomes finger-like, instead of it developing to an octopus. Having obtained admission through the back door, they buy their way through the university. A few among them pay their way through the four walls of the university campus. Many among them end up being drop-outs. These drop-outs evolve to the hooligans, hoodlums, pick-pockets, ballot-box snatchers, thugs, touts, armed-bandits...the list seems endless. The extremely lucky ones amongst them graduate with low grades. These half-baked scholars seek employment through unscrupulous and crooked means. Thereby, robbing the better job-seekers of employment. At the long run, the economy is affected gravely when our best hands are unemployed and the barely literate among them gain employment. This hinders development and progress in the economy and the society at large. In a society where you have the hands of half-baked scholars on deck, the best you can have is a quarter-baked economy.

Secondly, another problem borne out of the same finger of the octopus of racketeering, is the evident difficulty of the poor in obtaining admission. When unfriendly policies of the government are imposed on the masses, the poor are the ones to suffer. The a-fore-mentioned issue does in fact, not leave out the poor. They are the ones that suffer most for it. The poor constitute a large portion of the illiterates and unsuspecting public that are also easy preys for admission racketeers. A great number of them cannot afford the astronomical fees charged by these fraudsters but, many resort to borrowing or selling their assets. Due to their illiteracy and obsoleteness, many among them are duped!! This has turned the determined ones among them to seek salvage in farming, others couldn't contain the shock and are now frequent visitors of various hospitals. The not so lucky among them end up committing suicide!!! There are no two sides to the coin of Admission racketeering, its only side is bad and harmful. Admission racketeering is a canker that its bud has grown beyond being nipped, thus, it must be secateured down completely.

Moreover, this abnormality has not only blemished the credibility of the nation's examination bodies but has also whitewashed its probity. Many now see the examinations conducted by these bodies as irrelevant and trivial. This is as a result of some students getting admitted even after failing these examinations. There is also the certain issue of examination malpractice which many now involve themselves in. Many students have shunned reading and studying, they prefer engaging and malpractice and consulting admission racketeers. Some don't even write these exams, but are awarded the highest marks when the results are released. Many resort to racketeers for upgrade of results. This in whatever emphasis has not been of help to the nation's education sector, it has contributed to its failure dearly. It has turned the conduct to a fait accompli process where the examination bodies know who to pass and universities know who to admit even before exams are written!!!!

Similarly, it will be incomplete to state the issue of examination malpractice and the conduct of examination without citing the effect it has on the standard and quality of our varsities. This vice has eroded our university systems and many varsisties have fallen in standard. Some students now pay their way through the university. Many buy their way through it. It is common in varsities to see students meeting lecturers behind the scene to perpetrate this crime. Racketeering admission has downgraded the quality and standard of universities. It has turned many lecturers to bribe-receivers and students to bribe-givers. The ladies now offer their bodies for marks and the guys now resort to the money-for-marks syndrome. The strong-willed and unyielding students are deliberately marked down by these corrupt lecturers for failing to incline to their corrupt ways. The vice has led to our varsities producing half-baked scholars. In a society pervaded by half-baked scholars, the best you can have is a quarter-baked economy!
Furthermore, this canker-worm has turned many jobless fellows to fraudsters. Perhaps, its now common to read in dailies or hear on air about the advertisement of these racketeers. Many of them are even bold to place their phone numbers in public media. This has a result has turned many to fraudsters. Students, parents, lecturers, top university officials and even the government are now racketeers. University students now demand money from the entrance-writing aspirants to help them secure admission; in the same vein, lecturers demand money from such students to help them perpetrate the act. In the same vein too, these lecturers consult the admission officers for help and these officers too will demand money. As if we haven't had enough, top government officials have now turned admission to a bidding and auctioneering process. Hence, candidates of the highest bidder/staker are now offered admission to read the best and most lucrative courses. So to say, every member of the society are now racketeers; ranging from the admission seekers, to the students, parents, lecturers, administrators and eventually, the government! One certain bitter truth that we must all face is that, the economy can never progress with racketeers in abundance.

Furtherstill, another bitter pill to swallow about this vice is the paradoxical effect it has on the society. Ever since the primordial era, humans tend to evolve in an action they involves themselves in over time. A student who gains admission through racketeering will never become serious or studious neither will such student be determined nor corruption-free. Such students decide to trudge the crooked paths in the university buying their way through till they graduate. These half-baked products of racketeering are employed in the economy with that same mentality they have harboured over time. They corrupt the economy by offering bribes to gain one position or the other till they become stock-brokers or stock-holders. Later on, these set of people venture into politics and like a wild bull, rig their ways to win elections and eventually become power-brokers.
This is a well defined chain reaction brought about by this vice. It is not a smokescreen to admit that the greatest hinderance to development in the country is corruption and a major contributor to this anomaly is admission racketeering. As a result, our economy is swarmed by a hosts of racketeers who satisfy their personal whims and caprices at the expense of developing the society and impoving the economy.

I could go on and on stating the adverse effects of this vice but that will only bring further more questions than answers that are initially few. Nonetheless, there is light at the end of the tunnel and still, there is a glimmer of hope. It is pertinent to note that for every problem, there must be an antidote but such antidotes are not easy to come by. This is a sad reality we must accept.

In the light of the above therefore, if admission racketeering is to be combated effectively and completely, all hands must be on deck. There has to be a total cleansing of all and sundry in the society. The government and the media should work hand-in-hand to enlighten the public on these issues and its innumerable adverse effects. A stiff penalty should be imposed on erring and unrepentant persons. If we are to combat this vice completely and return to the long lost sanity of the society and get out of the bottomless dungeon we find ourselves in, then, the cited forms of panaceas must be given consideration. But the disorderliness and seeming lack of focus of the government may ultimately keep admission racketeering in existence in a manner even more serious than we can ever contemplate.

This is a sad reality we must grudgingly accept when tomorrow comes.

An Ex-Predite Speaks As OAU Predegree Entrance Exam Commences

1. Please do not panic because you are going to see thousands of candidates coming to take the exam like you... But just believe in your self. To those that are not computer literate, do not think that "I don't think I will pass this exam because I do not know anything about computer", being a computer literate does not have anything to do with this exam.

2. Also, be time conscious but make sure you do not do 'over sabi' especially in the aspect of Use of English (English bad ehn! You go dey fail am but for your mind, you go dey apy say you go get am...lol).

3. Also, you would be given just an hour for the exam, please make sure your work, at least 3 minutes before the allotted time ends.
4. Make sure you eat before you go and also I will advice you not to leave IFE till the next day after your exam, why? Because, you might be sent a text message to come back and re-write your exam... (Last year when we had our entrance exam, a friend of mine left for Lagos immediately after the exam and was later sent an SMS to come and re-write his exam again the next day, but he could not make it...). NOTE- What might have caused this was the student's inability to submit before his/her time elapsed, or maybe the computer system he/she used. Should notice any fault on the system you want to use, please do not hesitate to inform the invigilators, do not be shy!

5. Please eat before you go to the hall o!. Now, I don't want you to go and write the exam, just go there and pass!!! Success is yours. May you all come out in flying colours (in sha allahu) (in Jesus name). Ah loff u all!!!!!
