DTA health support foundation in partnership with AIESEC IFE ,Lautech medical student association and One Voice Initiatives which was proudly sponsored by G-Afrik crypto and logistics Ltd stormed Obafemi Awolowo university and ife city on an awareness campaign against Suicide and Substance abuse on the 10th of August 2018.

Suicide has become a major threat to our National health security and thus far alot of lives has been lost due to this virus called depression which is the major cause of suicide in our environment.
Presently Nigeria is ranked 5th in the world in Suicide per 100,000 people, per year

However, Drug and Substance Abuse has also been on the verge. So many young adults, teens and even older adult ones are seriously abusing different drugs and substances like Codeine, tramadol ,heroin and so many more.

In respect to all these , DTA health support foundation launched a project tag ""Fight against Suicide and Substance abuse"" on the 28th of March 2018 to address the malignant abuse of all these drugs and substances.

They brought the campaign to
Obafemi Awolowo university and Ile ife city to increase sensitization and create so much awareness about the danger in drug abuse and also the virus called depression.

Also, they were able to touch the nooks and cranny of Ile ife( OAU campus, Mayfair, and Lagere) yesterday up to the Palace of Ooni where we had a moment with His Imperial Majesty Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja Il, the Ooni of ife.

therefore admonished the youth and those depressed in any way to try and reach out to someone or see a doctor.

Ending ones life is never a solution to what you are presently passing through, it only pass on the agony and sorrow to the loved ones.

Also know that drug and Substance Abuse can only get to the grave or mental hospital.

Join us as we eradicate this from our society .
