Prior to our publication last week concerning accreditation crisis rocking some departments in the university, it has however been brought to our notice that medical rehabilitation has finally received full accreditation.

Speaking with OAU Peeps News Agency, our source in the National Universities Commission(NUC) stated that the Department Of Medical Rehabilitation truly faced accreditation issues few months ago but it has been finally resolved. NUC further advised aspirants of the Department Of Medical Rehabilitation  not to change their choice of course.

Speaking with OAU Peeps News Agency, President, Ife University Physiotherapy and  Occupation Therapy Students Association  (IFUTSA) ,  Suleiman Usman stated  that Medical Rehabilitation has fully received accreditation.

The affected programmes are  Law,Dentistry,  Botany ,Fine and Applied Arts with Family Nutrition and Consumer Science.

JAMB Spokesman has advised the aspirants of the above affected programmes to login to their profile to change their course or institution.

A release by the Public Relations Officer of the University,  Abiodun Olarewaju, stated that the Vice Chancellor,   Professor Eyitope Ogunbodede, is aware of the directive from JAMB to candidates of a few Departments within the University in relation to accreditation and that the University management is working assiduously to address the issues raised.

The Vice Chancellor, therefore, further  assured the Parents, Guardians and other stakeholders, particularly the prospective students that consultation is ongoing between the National Universities Commission (NUC), Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), and the University management to restore accreditation of the affected programmes hopefully before the end of the session.
