The Senate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, in its meeting held on Friday 16th, April 2021, has lifted ban on the activities of the Students Union after it had been suspended for nearly 4 years.
It is in this regard that the Department of Student Affairs of the school writes an internal memo, with reference DSA/27 dated 26/04/2021, to request each of the 13 faculties in the institution to provide two student representatives to serve as members of the Electoral and Petition Committee that will birth peacefully the new Students Union Government in Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
According to the memo, the Dean of each faculty is expected to oversee the selection process which is expected to be submitted before 31st May, 2021.
On the other hand, students had expressed joy over the resolution of the School Authority concerning the Students Union.
