The release further stated that the students suspended are not first offenders. The university management stated that the suspension was necessary as they had no option than to take decisive action to forestall a total breakdown of law and order.

The University further drew the attention of the community to some NON STUDENTS like  Osungbade Akeem Olaboye(AK-WIZDOM) who had been withdrawn from the university on account of his poor academic performance and Olawale Ogunruku,a diploma graduate who had refused to leave the university premises, causing nuisance & threat to public peace and stated they have been reported to the security agencies for appropriate actions.

The University management  concluded by  advising law abiding students to concentrate on their studies and shun any act or utterance that is capable of elongating the academic calendar beyond the stipulated period..
