CES 2017 To Hold At TASUED; Fisayo Soyombo, Hannah Ojo Others To Headline Event


The National Association of Nigerian Campus Editors has officially announced the details of the annual Campus Editors Summit organized by the Association. The summit is targeted providing a platform for the interaction and training of Campus Editors all over the country. Find the official release of the Association below;

“It is with great joy that the executive council of the National Association of Nigerian Campus Editors wish to inform all Campus Editors cum Journalists in all tertiary institutions in Nigeria that this year's Campus Editors summit will be holding at Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

This year's Campus Editors summit is themed: "Future of Journalists".

ABOUT CAMPUS EDITORS SUMMIT
Campus Editors summit is a yearly event organized by the National Association of Nigerian Campus Editors to bring together all pen pushers from various citadels of learning in Nigeria.
This will be the second edition organized by the body.

ABOUT THIS YEAR'S CAMPUS EDITORS SUMMIT
Date: January 27th and 28th, 2017.
Day 1: (Jan. 27th, Arrival of guests, Pre-summit).
Day 2: Summit proper..
Venue : Tai Solarin University of Education, Ijagun, Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State.

Keynote address to be delivered by Mrs Funke Egbemode, The President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors.
The summit is billed to have two panel sessions: First panel season will be hinged on the topic, "Campus Journalists and the future of the Nigerian Society"

The second Panel session will be hinged on the topic,"Campus as a training ground for journalists, the role of Editors"

Bigwig journalists to headline the 2017 CES include:
1. Fisayo Soyombo, Editor of the Cable;
2. Wale Ajetumobi, The Nation's newspaper CampusLife Editor;
3. Wuraola Popoola, Content Editor, Naij. Com;
4. Hannah Ojo, Journalist;
5. Dayo Aiyetan, Director for International Centre for Investigative reporting; and many more.

Just like the last edition of the summit is something we all learnt from we are bringing together from all spheres campus Editors who have a huge role to play in the content of Journalism from our various citadels, the high point of the event is not just the panel session which will be expository but the bond that will be given during this two day event,as day one will be for arrival and opportunity to build contacts, definitely it's not something you want to trade-off for anything else.

We hereby implore all Campus Journalists unions, campus journalists and editors in the country to make this event a point of call.
