Man O' War Club Member Beats Student, Club Bags Suspension

Following the drama that ensued on Wednesday, 17th August 2016 at the Fajuyi Hall of the Obafemi Awolowo University, where acting executives of the Hall were allegedly assaulted by a member of the Man O' War club of the institution, the executives of the hall have come out with a statement claiming that the club has been suspended indefinitely by the University Authorities.

The scuffle was said to have resulted from an attempt of the executives to help recover a  soccer ball that was mistakenly kicked into the fenced training ground of the club behind the Hall of Residence. The intervention however was said to have gone violent when a member of the Club attacked the Chairman of the Hall. The incident, which lasted for several minutes, also led to some students demanding that cancellation of the club, citing the recent unruly behaviour of some members of the club as reasons.

However, considering the alleged claim that the Man O' War Club of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife which has produced many distinguished personalities over the years has been placed on a suspension, several individuals and bodies have continued to condemn the act of the members of the club involved in the incident.
