The Reflector Team Holds Book Festival 2016 In OAU

"Books are the carriers of civilization. Without books, history is silent, literature dumb, science cripple and speculation at a stand still" [Barbara Tuchman]. When we celebrate and appreciate books, we celebrate nature, heroes, lifetimes, creativity and existence.

After a long trip to the desert of oblivion, Book Festival is ushered back into the literary arena of Obafemi Awolowo University by The Reflector Team. At the REFLECTOR BOOK FEST 2016, phenomenal authors and thought-drivers from all over Nigeria will be engaged and written words will voice out. Here are some life-changing experiences participants should expect:

- Book Chats
- Panel Discussions
- Film Show
- Writers' Workshop
- Book Signings
- Book Exchange and Sales
- Open Mic Sessions

This two-day festival of words and wits will take place as below-highlighted:

Friday, March 4th, 2016.
SUB Car Park
6:00pm

Saturday, March 5th, 2016.
Pit Theatre, OAU.
10:00am

We believe that by fortifying our arsenal with good books and absorbing the invaluable wisdom they hold, we greedily amass ideas and words that fit in bits to form whole pictures. Then, myths are distilled, the pen is strengthened and truth clears its throat to voice.

This maiden of the Reflector Book Fest aims to celebrate the truth that books carry and the power of words. The event will be graced by seasoned authors like:

EFE PAUL AZINO [Director, Lagos International Poetry Festival]
AKEEM LASISI [Author, Wonderland]
REMI SONAIYA [2015 Presidential Aspirant and Author, Daybreak Nigeria]
JUMOKE VERISSIMO [Author, Birth of Illusion]

MOLARA WOOD [Author, Indigo]
NIRAN OKEWOLE [Author, The Hate Artist]
